There are no papers for 1961 or 1962.This was a Labour Party Home Policy sub-committee which was later replaced by the Regional and Local Government Advisory Committee (see AC/2). Ann Carlton does not appear to have been involved in the Local Government Sub-Committee. At this time Michael Ward and later Joan Bourne were Local Government Officer for the Labour Party. The papers consist of meeting reminders, agendas, minutes and papers for discussion at meetings. They primarily cover the topics of local government reorganisation, local elections, local government conferences and housing and town planning. |
