DescriptionThe Autobiography of Constance Maynard was written throughout the period of 1915-1933, and covers her life from 1849-1927.

The manuscript is written from the diaries that Constance Maynard kept throughout her life, and uses extracts in places.

The divisions of the manuscript into parts and chapters is as given by Constance Maynard, and the titles and subtitles of these parts and chapters remain as given originally also. Where no information of subject is given by Constance Maynard the content has been summarised.

The manuscript remains in the order of which she wrote it, but some pages are missing or torn.

There are some editorial notes.

Constance Maynard edited and copied an account of the Henry Maynard family by her Cousin Mary [HM King], detailing the life of the family from 1839-1910.
