DescriptionLetters to A. Brownlow and the Beaumont Trust from various people relating to the ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone of the Queen's Hall in the People's Palace. Includes a letter from a representative of the Prince of Wales informing the Beaumont Trust that it would give the Prince 'very great pleasure' to lay the first stone, and letters from J.P. Clarke, Conductor of the Band of Her Majesty's Scots Guards, regarding the Band performing at the ceremony.

Also includes a photograph of crowds of people awaiting the arrival of the Prince and Princess of Wales at the site of the People's Palace, 28 June 1886.
