DescriptionBurrell taught at both the Day School and Evening classes at East London Technical College (known as the People's Palace Technical Schools until 1896). He was Assistant Master 1888-9, Masters of Sections 1890-6 and Second Master 1896-1900 for the Day School. He also taught Physics 1896-1900 and was the Choir Master 1892-6 for the Day School. For the Evening classes he was a lecturer in Mathematics 1888-91, Theoretical Mechanics 1888-93, Geology 1892-7 and Physics 1898-1900.

Contains black and white photographs of the People's Palace Physical Laboratories, designed by Burrell c1889-1896; postcard of Beaumont Hall, Stepney and photographic portrait of an unidentified woman; memorabilia relating to the work of Burrell as a lecturer including lecture flyers, lecture lists, staff lists, timetables, press cuttings and details of the People's Palace Day Technical School ninth annual excursion (1896); correspondence relating to the donation of these items (1978-1984).
