This print is one of series of plates entitled 'Various Subjects of Landscape, Characteristic of English Scenery.' The plates were mezzotinted by David Lucas after oil paintings, sketches and designs by John Constable. It is thought that this print is from the fourth state known as Bohn's 1855 edition. |
